Welcome!

This blog is here for you to find fun learning activities to do with your children. We share great ideas we find and love on the Internet, as well as ideas we come up with on our own! We also like to share resources we find helpful.

To find ideas for your child, click on the age range blog label or on the theme/topic you are looking for (on the left side of the page). In each post, we try to list optimal age ranges for the activity, but you must judge for yourself if it is appropriate for your child. When you try an activity out, please comment and let us (and everyone else) know how your child liked it!

Meet Your Authors: Valerie

Hello, my name is Valerie. I am a stay at home mom to three beautiful (of course!) children. They are Brayden (4), Kaitlyn (2), and McKenna (5 months). I have been married to my wonderful husband for the last 5.5 years. I have a BS in English with an Emphasis on Technical Writing.

I love knowledge and love teaching my children. Brayden recently started attending preschool 3 days a week for 2.5 hours each day. I still continue teaching him stuff at home and working on skills for him to improve on. I do a preschool curriculum for both Brayden and Kaitlyn at home.

I am also the author of the blog Chronicles of a Babywise Mom: http://babywisemom.blogspot.com/

You are a busy mom! I love reading your posts. Shows you're an English major... :) Nice to find some other educated moms who want to give their children the first and best. I'll keep reading!

That is funny Maureen, what's up with us all being English majors? How could we have been brought together by a book with so many typos? LOL!
Of course this means that now we're in huge trouble if we make any spelling errors on here, everyone will feel compelled to point out that the English majors messed up :)

I couldn't find a good place to post this comment, so I'm posting it here. Is it possible to tweak the rss feed settings such that the whole post actually shows up in my rss reader? Babywisemom's blog shows up in my reader just fine, but this site's posts show only the title with a link, so if I want to look at anything, I actually have to go to the site, but I'd rather be able to have it load up in my reader. Thanks!
Btw, I too am an English major.
